GENERAL
OOC Name: Vell. Other Characters: Desgevell, Bretol.
Name: Zeirelle (zair-ell); goes by Zeir. Gender: Female. Age: Twenty-four. Orientation: Bisexual. Order: Frost. Rank: Apothecary. Occupation: None.
PERSONALITY
Positive Traits: → Sociable. She is outgoing, always ready to chat with someone, and will often befriend the soldiers she is tending to, at least while they are healing.
→ Nonjudgmental. She knows better than to think lowly of someone just because of their gender, alliance, or physical appearance. She avoids making assumptions even if they are good. She knows that not everyone is as they appear to be.
→ Accepts limitations. She has accepted even at the start of her initiate years that she is not cut out to be a soldier, and she never claims to be better than she is. She is modest, though that doesn’t mean she’s meek; she has a good self-esteem. She simply isn’t a braggart.
→ Controlled. She handles her emotions well. This does not mean that she won’t show emotion or anger or sadness, but that she will not start screaming at someone. She tends to hold her tongue when she wants to criticize someone until she can do it in the nicest way.
→ Thoughtful. She is kind in the smallest sort of ways, from paying the bill for a dinner to remembering an acquaintance’s favorite type of tea.
Negative Traits: → Compulsive liar. If she feels anxious, she will lie about the simplest things, anything from her name to what she had for dinner the other night. This is completely random and has various consequences, from breaking friendships to confusing the hell out of acquaintances.
→ Cowardly. She runs away from all of her problems, be they physical or social. She tends to force anyone around her to deal with physical threats, and because she shies away from difficult situations in relationships, she doesn’t often forge strong friendships.
→ Untrusting. She doesn’t put her trust in others easily. She has a slight faith that no one is going to flat-out attempt to harm her, but at the most inopportune times she suddenly replaces that with excessive caution. She may flat-out refuse help from strangers and doesn’t confide in her friends, to name some examples.
→ Ignores boundaries. While she is devoted to Mraz and opposes the goddesses because of the struggle in the sky, she doesn’t see why she should be the enemy of any other Order. This puts her in danger as she integrates herself into the society of all the factions when she’s bored.
→ Uncommitted. She abandons her friends as surely as she makes them. It isn’t always on purpose, but with all of the people she talks to every day, she will often forget about some of them. This goes for romantic relationships as well. It isn’t out of meanness, but often boredom.
→ Flirtatious. She will flirt with just about anyone even if she isn’t attracted to them, usually because she is bored. If someone seems to take a liking to her, she uses it to her advantage in order to get what she wants.
→ Manipulative. With her outgoing façade, people put trust in her easily. She abuses this trust by making people do things for her or by randomly telling a secret to someone else who asks.
Fears: → Horses. → Disesase. → Fire
Quirks: → Usually spontaneous in everything she does. → Dyes tips of hair new colors frequently. → Makes herself learn the name of each of her patients. → Remembers insignificant details.
Ideals: → Spunk. → Courage → Cleanliness.
Overall: Zeirelle is friendly and thoughtful, sometimes a bit flirty, but usually gives a good overall first impression on those she comes across. She is a gentle, modest healer. However, she is extremely unpredictable. She might suddenly decide to lie about her name or choose not to trust you, as well as manipulating others or taking advantage of them. She is cowardly and yet will venture into the lands of other Orders. She makes friends with most but remains uncommitted to most. She seems to have absolutely no motives behind her actions. Her actual emotions appear to be suppressed but are existent.
APPEARANCE
Hair Color: White with tips of different colors. Eye Color: Left pink, right is light blue. Skin Color: Normal skin tone, on the pale side. Clothing: Dressing for practicality, she wears the usual fur-lined coats. She usually wears long skirts but with boots that come high up. She has a white fur cloak that she is very fond of. When she works as a healer, she tries to wear dull-colored clothes that she does not mind getting blood on. Notably, she has a bright flame-colored silk ribbon she ties around her wrist. Weapons: None. Height: 5'6" Weight: 120 lbs Overall: Zeirelle is slender, around average height, and can be regarded as pretty if not astoundingly beautiful. She has shoulder-length hair the color snow; every time she has the money and is the mood, she will dye the tips of her hair random colors. Her eyes are light in color, one pink and the other blue. She dresses practically but in a way that complements her appearance. She looks the gentle part of a healer sometimes, but other times she uses her simple kind of beauty to her advantage. She is never seen without her silk scarlet ribbon. What one wouldn’t gather from a first glance is the nasty burn on her left shoulder. Picture: None.
HISTORY
Family: Seallur, father. Fluleth, mother. Seikos, brother. History: Zeirelle was born into the Order of Frost, where she quickly found her place growing up as the daughter of two unimportant followers. It was during the early stages of her life that she was taught to obey her limitations and not get too high and mighty. However, her life was boring, and when she went off on a small adventure with her little brother, she ran across a stranger. It was a very lively Flame initiate named Kess. Seikos regarded her with suspicion, but the strange girl paid him off, and to a twelve-year-old any gold seemed worth a lot more.
Kess, apparently not giving a damn that they were from separate Orders, whisked Zeirelle away as a playmate. The two had random adventures, running and exploring along the border between Orders. Zeirelle became used to lying, providing a different excuse to her parents whenever she went missing. She lived her double-life for a long time, transforming into a liar, starting to change her priorities. When she became a follower, her intentions were unclear, but she allowed the ambiguity to remain so that she could still sneak off to visit her friend.
Zeir had been harboring feelings for Kess for a long time, but was terrified of the consequences of confessing them. Kess was not only another young woman, but one from the Flame Order. When her brother found Kess and confronted her, not remembering her from the years ago and honestly not caring as he was a soldier now, Zeirelle leapt to her aid. She did not kill her brother but threatened to out of desperation. Realizing how dire the situation had become, Seikos complied with her demands and left them alone.
Zeir ran off with Kess, to live among the Flame Order. She was regarded with suspicion but didn’t care when she was with the woman she loved. To symbolize this in a subtle way, Kess provided her with the silk ribbon she wears now, a luxury for someone used to simply fur coats.
When disease and war swept across the Orders, the two followers found themselves in battle when their village was attacked. Zeirelle had blurred the lines between Orders but as she recognized old friends, she didn’t have the strength to strike them. She was seriously burned in the confusion when a Flame Order warrior burned her shoulder; Kess was separated in the fight. She died from the battle later, but it was illness more than the wounds she had sustained that took her life.
Zeir was, understandably, devastated. However, she remembered the excessive optimism of her long-time friend and knew that she had to put the pain beside her. She returned to the Order of Frost where her family resided and began a new life, becoming an apothecary so that she may prevent more deaths. She had no real issue with dating again, though she wouldn’t fully connect and wasn’t committed. In an effort to suppress her past, she fashioned a carefree and unpredictable life for herself, almost to the point of becoming apathetic to anything else.
