Ysera is a world roughly based on different time periods in Earth's history. There are elements of the medieval era as well as the industrial era in Ysera, blending together to create a unique fantasy world.

Architecture & Cities
The architecture of Ysera is an interesting blend akin to the mix you would see in an old city on earth. There are castles and temples alongside pubs and primitive factories. In the capital cities of each Order, there is a large, sprawling medieval style castle where the emperors and their lieutenants live. The Castle of Flame is brick-red in color, the Castle of Frost is very pale blue, nearly white in color and the Castle of Chaos is pitch black. The richer and older citizens of the cities have more elaborate houses in a medieval style while the poorer and younger residents have nondescript wood and metal houses.
In Kvatembr, industry is growing rapidly. Factories that process metals and other materials are beginning to crop up throughout the city. They are few and far between because the technology is quite new. Also, these factories are very small, running on wind power instead of fossil fuels.
In Poleva, this technology has yet to arrive and the city is mostly in medieval style. A few pubs and restaurants in a more modern style exist, but most buildings are elegant and medieval in style.
In Nocni, the style is almost completely industrial because it was founded after Kvatembr discovered a way to harness the wind. Nocni closely resembles a city from the Western United States in the 19th century. It doesn't have large factories but it most definitely isn't medieval save for the Castle of Chaos.
The villages and towns throughout the lands are still in the Dark Ages, as it were. They have not modernized much at all save for the edition of some restaurants or shops.
Technology
Even though Ysera has industry, it does not have all the same technologies as Earth. Electricity has not been discovered and oil lamps and candles light the cities. Gun power has not been discovered which means the only weapons on Ysera are swords, daggers, polearms and the like. The only source of power to be harnessed so far is the power of wind with the use of windmills. Sewage systems have not been implemented in any of the cities, though research is currently going on in Kvatembr. Plumbing has been installed in Kvatembr, Poleva and Nocni though it does not cover the entire city and is mostly for the elite. Other towns have to plumbing and must used rivers and streams to wash. Vehicles of any type have not been invented.
Animals
These animals exist in Ysera: Deer, Horses, Cows, Wolves, Cats (domesticated), Coyotes, Lynxes, Foxes, Pigs, Chickens, Boar, Bears, Dogs (domesticated, still wolf-like in appearance), Rabbits, Rats, Various Birds, Reptiles and Fish.
Clothing
Clothing on Ysera is mainly for practicality. In The Land of Frost, thick clothing often made of fur is worn in layers. Boots are a must in the North as well. It would be idiotic to walk around Poleva in a skimpy dress and heels even in summer. Though there is not snow year-round, there is always cold and a hint of frost on the air. Hats, scarves and gloves are common as well, but not necessary. Transversely, in The Land of Flame, thin and light clothing is worn throughout the year. Silks are much more common in the South than in the North. The clothing in the Land of Flame tends to be prettier than the clothing in the Land of Frost due to being able to wear more impractical items. In The Land of Chaos, clothing somewhere between the thicknesses of the two elemental regions is worn. It is tradition that the clothing of Chaos is darker and drabber. Overall, the clothing in Ysera should be solid color or bi-color with no busy patterns or unnecessary details save for a few exceptions among the Land of Flame.
Emperors, Empresses and Seers are the obvious exceptions to the intricacy rule. Their clothing is beyond embellished and beautiful. Seers wear long, flowing robes with designs embroidered across them while emperors and empresses where much more detailed and rich forms of their respective lands.
At war, chain mail and plate mail is worn atop leather for all three orders.
Food & Drink
The foods of Ysera are not too different from the foods of Earth. Meat is a central food because of its availability. Vegetables and fruits are not as abundant due to few citizens working in agriculture. Cheese is a favorite food as well as different forms of rice and pasta. Drinks are mostly alcoholic in nature with the exception of tea and simple water.
Apothecaries & Medicines
Apothecaries use both their magic and their knowledge of herbs to heal others. The magic is an aid to speed up the healing process while the herbs are what truly heal. Apothecaries can heal nearly all physical injuries even the loss of a limb unless blood loss was too great. Internal injuries and sicknesses are much harder to heal and take more time and medicine to heal.
Followers & Occupations
Many occupations can be held among the followers of Ysera: Industrial, Waiter, Barmaid, Performer, Seamstress, Farmer, Herder, Shop Worker and any other jobs within reason are allowed. However, the occupation of warrior is by far the most common.
Currency
The people of Ysera simply use gold coins as currency. Bartering still occurs quite often as well.
