PERSONALITY

Positive Traits:
-- Pacifist: She is extremely against the war and believes it started from greed and arrogance in the hearts of men, not a war of gods. This pacifism leads her to respect all life even if she dislikes something or someone.

-- Independent: Kyo will let no one tell her what to do, not Laska and not her emperor, not even her parents. Kyohaku is constantly going against the "powers that be" and will never let herself be controlled.

-- Tranquil: Kyohaku is a thinker, not a doer. Though she constantly expresses dislike of the Orders and the Gods, she will never do anything rash to solve the problems of the world.

Overall: Kyohaku is a young girl with a personality of one far beyond her years. She is mature beyond her years and a deep-thinker. She lacks many typical teenage traits and possesses instead pacifism, independence and tranquility. Kyo's life revolves are her music, it is her very life-force and in it is reflected her entire being. She is a very down-to-earth girl with a gentle and quiet disposition among friends. She has a deep love of animals, children and even some plants. Kyohaku strives for a united Ysera, though in her heart she knows it will never happen.

Kyohaku is often seen in skirts and dresses along with fashionable sandals. Overall, her clothing resembles what would be seen on a beach town on Earth, delicate and beautiful

Overall: Kyohaku is a very delicate teenage girl with very pretty features accentuated by her style of clothing. Her hair is perfectly straight, shoulder length and strawberry blonde with long, side-swept bangs. Her eyes a glittering topaz and her face is lightly freckled, somewhat hidden by her tan. She is fairly short and slender, lacking in muscle and strength. Her clothing is very fitting for her appearance: delicate and beautiful.

HISTORY

Family: Niirohana x mother, Rejave x father, Kiyolo x brother
History:
Kyohaku was born to two followers of Flame, Niirohana and Rejave along with her twin brother, Kiyolo. Her life passed without much incident. Her father taught her how to play guitar as he was a musician himself. Eventually, he passed his beloved guitar to the capable hands of his daughter and encouraged her to start her own career. Kiyolo, meanwhile, never took to music and instead learned magic from Niirohana.

Life was uneventful for Kyohaku until she and her brother turned 13. Kiyolo ran away from home without any notice and without leaving a note. Kyo had a feeling she knew where he had gone, however. Kiyolo had always expressed a want to become an apothecary, and one day a seer. Rejave opposed this and did not want his son becoming "weak." Kyohaku was confident that Kiyolo had run away to realize his dream.

Kyohaku, therefore, slipped away to the Temple of Laska in search of her twin brother. It took her at least a week to finally reach the temple and locate her brother within the sprawling building. But find him she did, training with an elderly woman. Kyohaku watched as Kiyolo learned the ways of an apothecary but made no move to speak with him. He was happy here, without her.

So she left and went to Kvatembr instead of returning to her parents. In the city, Kyohaku took up the profession of a musician, claiming to still be a child when questioned by authorities. She performed on the streets or in restaurants for money to pay for food and clothing. At a young age, Kyohaku had to learn to be resourceful and hard to catch. After all, a young girl along in such a large city was an easy target.

One day, she was caught, but not by the kind of person she had feared. It was a lieutenant, a completely different fear all together. He saw through her disguise and knew she was trying to escape becoming an initiate. The lieutenant forced Kyohaku to begin training as an initiate and learn Flame magic.

Kyohaku was horrible with magic and she knew it. She was also horrible with weapons training but she persevered through her training. One day, she was told to target a live raven with her magic. Horrified, Kyo refused and instead took the raven as a pet and named the creature, Tria. Later, she was a cat being used for the same horrific practice. He too became an animal in her care, named Eraf. Kyohaku then made it her personal mission to rescue all training animals. Eventually, the followers gave up on the practice when the animals just kept disappearing.

When she was well into her sixteenth year, her trainer finally decided she could be made a follower, mainly because she was tired of dealing with such a disgrace of an initiate. Thus, Kyohaku was freed to return to her performances and gain a large following.
